Check out this engaging music video which shows the power of youth, especially young women, advocating for their health. Recently, a Minneapolis non- profit known as Appetite for Change released a music video that has gone viral on the internet! The music video entitled "Grow Food" is sending a message to youth about the importance of actively choosing and accessibility of healthy foods. Appetite for Change, a community led organization, whose mission is to use food as a tool building health, wealth, and social change in North Minneapolis. The young rappers cleverly combined popular rap phrases with healthy message twists geared towards eating and creating healthy meals, such as, "chop it up" "screaming hot Cheetos and Takis, boy you better eat your broccoli," "poppin bottles of water." Shout out to the two female lead rappers, letting us know the importance of opting out of processed food.  The 11 year old female rapper in the video says it loud and clear, "the youth are the truth, ain't no stopping us." I totally believe it! I tip my hat to these youth inspiring social change in their community and across the country. Be sure to check out the full video above!
