Celebrate World Hemophilia Day on April 17th!

On April 17th join us to celebrate World Hemophilia Day and raise awareness about hemophilia and other bleeding disorders. The World Federation of Hemophilia’s theme for the year, “Access for All: Women and Girls Bleed Too,” shines a light on the urgent need to better diagnose, treat, and care for women and girls with bleeding disorders (WGBD) who are too often overlooked. Check out the Better You Know campaign to learn more about outreach to undiagnosed women and girls.
World Hemophilia Day is a time to raise awareness, connect, and advocate. We especially encourage women, girls, and those who have or had the potential to menstruate to share their stories and help strengthen our community through visibility and support.
How to Get Involved:
- Share your story and post on VictoryforWomen.org. You can also post on social media and tag @NBDF using #NBDFWHD #WHD2025 #WomenAndGirlsBleedToo.
- Educate others with facts about WGBDs. Check out this fact sheet and educational information.
- Wear red to spark conversations and show support.
- Advocate for change by reaching out to policymakers using NBDF's advocacy resources.
- Donate to NBDF to support efforts to improve the lives of WGBDs.
Together, we can elevate the needs of women and girls with bleeding disorders—and ensure everyone gets the care they deserve.
